Free Irish Music concert

The Portal Irish Music Week is offering a free concert at the outdoor pavilion of the Black Range Lodge in Kingston, this Saturday, Sept. 23 at 7pm.  The educational “camp” features world class Irish musicians including Brian Conway, Marla Fibish, Steph Geremia, Matt Heaton, Colin Lindsay, and Pete Strickler.  Founded in 2011 Portal Irish Music Week, strives to provide a gateway into the world of playing Irish Traditional Music, especially for folks who are coming to the music later in life.

Formerly hosted in Portal, AZ, P.I.M.W. has a new home in Kingston, NM. The camp consists of 5 days of classes, with a scattering of music workshops, sessions, a Saturday concert, bird watching, and nature hikes, truly making it like a summer camp for adults.

The Saturday evening concert is free, with free parking.  For more information call the Black Range Lodge at 575-895-5652.
