More music coming to Hillsboro

Treat yourself to a great evening of bluegrass music by acclaimed singer / songwriters from the Desert Southwest Peter McLaughlin and Chris Brashear. They will be performing on Sunday August 6th at the Hillsboro Community Center located at 316 Elenora Street in Hillsboro, New Mexico. The music runs from 4 to 6 pm.

Peter specializes in acoustic flat picking and has won the national flat picking championship at Walnut Valley as well as first place at Telluride. Chris is one of the finest singers in bluegrass today. He plays Mandolin, fiddle and guitar. The duo has been together since 1992 and are known for their wonderful harmonies. Over the years they’ve recorded a collection of songs — much of it influenced by their love of the Southwest. Their performance will include a selection of songs from their latest CD. The event is part of the Hillsboro Summer Concert series which asks for a suggested donation of $15. To find more information about this pair go to www.petermclaughlin.info.
