Diana Tittle, a member of the board of Sierra County Public-Interest Journalism Project, was the editor of the Sierra County Sun, the Citizen's precursor. A former resident of Truth or Consequences who now lives part-time in northern New Mexico, she spent her 42-year professional career in Cleveland, Ohio, where she worked as a newspaper reporter, magazine writer and editor, book author and publisher and publishing consultant. She is the recipient of a Cleveland Arts Prize for Literature.

Lobbyists and mega donors run the show to an extent none of us want to see and none of them want us to know about. Politicians end up lying to us about how much they care about our interests (they need the votes) while at the same time they’re kissing the rear ends of the sources of the real money (they also need the $$$).
Interestingly, whether or not one cares about his politics, Donald Trump is the only elected official of whom I am aware, that left office with a lower personal net worth. He is also the only elected official to donate his paycheck to the US Treasury. IIRC, Obama left office $28million richer. Go figure…
Getting more money doesn’t make Small any better as a legislator or bigger as a man. He is still little and pliable.
