“NM delegation votes against bill they say will disenfranchise voters”

The U.S. House of Representatives yesterday passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, or SAVE Act, on a 221-198 party line vote, with all three New Mexico congresspeople voting nay. The bill seeks to require proof of American citizenship through showing identification when voting in federal elections.
