The five justices on the New Mexico Supreme Court yesterday affirmed the district court’s ruling in September the redrawn map did not entrench the Democratic Party in power and therefore does not violate the New Mexico Constitution.

  1. It appears to me that the redistricting actually corrected districting that for decades has pretty much guaranteed a Republican one of the three NM House seats. That the 2022 outcome was SO close speaks volumes w/ respect to the actual fairness of the redistricting for House District 2. The 2024 election will be VERY interesting to watch!
