With the 2024 legislative session set to end at noon next Thursday, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s 21-point package proposing stricter gun laws and tough-on-crime initiatives is running out of time for consideration, let alone passage, by both the House and the Senate.

  1. Great news on the gun control package as not one thing in that package will keep criminals from using guns to commit crimes. Only law-abiding people will find it harder to protect themselves. Criminals don’t care about gun laws (seems obvious but our governor doesn’t get it. Arrest criminals and put them in jail, that is the Best way to reduce crime. Crime needs to have consequences.

  2. I’m imagining a change in the world culture. Where reverence for life is too prevalent to consider injury of another being . Reverence for the domestic rather than the martial arts.
    Do the math, feed back through the media is responsible for the annoyance of “a polarized society “ . Norbert Weiner is my source on feedback . He was the first to say that robots were going to replace humans by the thousands and a mark of our civilization will be. How do we care for humans when they have no work? Poverty is fearful, it’ll bring out a lot of weapons.
    Misogyny will get worse as poverty increases its a telling subject of its ownM
