Leave of absence

Sorry I haven’t posted recently. My 10-year-old golden retriever Allie had major orthopedic surgery last Thursday and came home yesterday to recover. We must keep her as immobile as possible during her seven weeks of convalescence to give the pinned bones in her back left leg the chance to mend. This will require our almost constant presence to reduce the agitation she feels when left alone in the pen we have erected for her in our den. I am not sure when I’ll be able to resume sharing links to state and national stories of significance to Sierra Countians, so I wanted to let you know of the reason for my absence from the Citizen.

  1. My understanding was that my friend Allie was actually doing the column and that’s the real reason why it’s gone dark temporarily. 😉
