All the blustering and hoohaa will make no difference until we ultimately recognize that the problem with financing ANYTHING resembling infrastructure open to all citizens of this country turns on one and only ONE thing. We have to start taxing the people who have accumulated all the cash to start paying their share into the COMMON-WEALTH of the country. In plebian terms it’s TAX THE RICH. They’re the ones who have taken the wealth OUT of the community. They need to put it back. That’s what Roosevelt did in the 40’s to rebuild the economy after blowing it all to hell on the war. Us “turnips’ don’t have enough blood to pick the economy back up. It’s simple math – this ‘handbasket’ ain’t gonna rise back up from it’s predestined end point without the means to crank it and what cranks it is “CASH”. I ain’t got it and neither do most of you reading this.
Since “Citizens United” (which is actually NOTHING like it sounds) was passed and money was speech and corporations are people we doomed the country to be an oligarchy – just like ………(dare I say it)……… Russia!! Let’s get over it. MONEY IS NOT SPEECH; CORPORATIONS ARE NOT PEOPLE!!!!! If it is and they are. we’re screwed!
why would a good doctor want to work in this state? bureaucrats think they know better than the M.D.’s. It’s no wonder they’re leaving/not coming
