“Outward Link Trail dispute lands in court”

To secure a remedy to a situation similar to Kingston’s Forest Road 40E conflict, the Town of Taos, New Mexico, has filed a civil suit in district court seeking to compel a private property owner to desist in blocking what the town insists is a legal right of way through the plaintiff’s property to a public trail. The telling difference in the Taos dispute may be that the easement granting the right of way is well documented.
