“UNM grant will help underserved communities get water funding”

Millions of dollars are coming to New Mexico for water projects through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021, and municipalities that don’t have the capacity to apply for this aid will now be helped navigate the grant request process by the University of New Mexico’s Southwest Environnmental Finance Center.

Bipartisan legislation signed by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham in March has been enacted to end the widespread practice of suspending driver’s licenses for failure to pay a fine or failure to appear in court.
