Arts Council Announces Upcoming Events

The first 3 months of 2025 heralds the launch of the annual “Art Talks” offered by the Sierra County Arts Council (SCAC).

Local artists and art professionals will deliver talks on a whole range of art-related topics (see list of presenters below).

Additionally the SCAC has arranged to host several classical music presentations through their “Music Mix” series.

A couple of other events of note include the Christmas Sing-a-long which will happen on Friday evening December 20th at the Healing Waters Plaza in TorC. That takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. and is free to the public.

And mark your calendar for Saturday February 1st for the annual SCAC Membership Party. Plan to attend this gathering which gives members a chance to renew their SCAC membership and provides anyone else an opportunity to join. It’s a great time to mingle with the art community, enjoy a variety of beverages and catered food, and be entertained by the RGee Duo (trio). The SCAC board will also report on what was accomplished this past year — including some changes in board personnel, and give attendees a preview of some of the things on the docket for 2025.
