Join the March for Peace

A march is being organized under the banner “A MARCH FOR PEACE IN PALESTINE“. The march will take place on Saturday March 9th in Socorro, New Mexico. Cosponsor of the event — Socorro Peace Vigil — invites anyone interested in participating to assemble at New Mexico Tech gates on Leroy, at the top of the School of Mines Road. The march will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. — all are welcome. The group will parade down to the Socorro Plaza for a vigil, information sharing, and music. Mobility assistance will be available. Marchers are asked to “Bring Profound Posters!!”. But, there will also be art supplies available at Tech gates.

  1. I’m sorry to have missed the March 9 March for Palestine in Socorro. I spend some months each year in Syracuse, NY where I am an activist with the Syracuse Peace Council and several of its groups. I would love to get involved locally. Does the Socorro Peace Vigil still meet each Friday afternoon? Thanks for any help you can provide to get connected to anti-war and anti-militarism groups!
