Music and lectures scheduled

The schedule for the 2024 Art Talks sponsored by the Sierra County Arts Council was released. The program will feature lectures by five local artists — each speaking about their areas of artistic expertise. There will be two lectures in January, one in February and the last two in March. On the agenda are quilt / fiber artists Rebecca Speakes and Annie Dimit-Buckley, sculptor Otto Rigan, fine artist Stacy Blum-Hay and photographer Andrew Williams. All Art Talks are held at RioBravoFineArtGallery at 110 N. Broadway in Truth or Consequences.

Also on the list of must-see events is the Music Mix series of classical music held at Grapes Gallery – 407-409 Main Street in Truth or Consequences. In early April is Camerata del Sol performing quartets by Jewish composers. Then, in mid-May is Camerata del Sol performing a Brahms sextet.

Both the Art Talks and Music Mix events are brought to the community by the Sierra County Arts Council and New Mexico Arts. Your support of these programs ensures they will continue to be offered in the future.
