“Virgin Atlantic jet lands after maiden transatlantic flight on low-carbon fuel”

A Virgin Atlantic passenger jet powered by 100 percent sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) completed a London-to-New York flight last week, showcasing the potential of low-carbon options, which are a tiny fraction of the industry’s fuel mix. Britain’s transport minister, one of the few VIP passengers aboard with Virgin Group founder and promoter Richard Branson, planned to meet with members of New York’s investment community to learn about what government could do to be supportive of 100 percent SAF adoption.
