A statewide task force of 29 stakeholders representing diverse expertise, geographies and community interests came together from June to November 2022 to examine New Mexico’s water management and governance challenges. Outlined in a final report, the task force came to broad, shared conclusions: Our water crisis is dire, but there are things we can do if we act now.

  1. It’s interesting that these two issues appear in the same edition of “Stuff You Need To Know”. Future Water Issues and Future of Mining in Sierra County. Let’s hope that people concerned about and/or invested in either or both of these issues read BOTH of these articles!! And we can only hope that they TALK HONESTLY with one another!! And ALL of us need to bear witness to those conversations!!
