It’s been a long long wait from the building of the Spaceport to the first Virgin Galactic flight. And it doesn’t look like there are going to be many more in the near future. Virgin Galactica got into the space tourism business early but was late in the sophistication of its flights, falling behind both Bezos’ and Musk’s endeavors. But there are other tenants that the Spaceport that I don’t believe were mentioned in the article. And our adventure into space is growing not dying so there is still hope. Additionally I believe there’s a much newer economic impact report that the NYT reporter failed to mention (correct me if I’m wrong). Finally it’s always interesting to note that articles by reporters from The New York Times and other major outlets frequently don’t surpass the work done by some of our local New Mexico people.
